Think you've seen this altimeter on someone's wrist before? That's because since its introduction in 1998, the Suunto Vector Altimeter Watch has served as the altimeter, barometer, and electronic compass of choice for hard-core adventurists from mountaineers to Marines. Since then, Suunto has greatly simplified the watch interface on this wristop computer to be more user friendly, upgraded the compass to be more precise, and added weather functions for peace of mind.

If you are an enthusiastic outdoor person, whether or not you are into hiking, climbing or maybe an ordinary fisherman, you merely should not leave the house without a equipment just like Suunto Vector. Firstly it features a very precise digital altimeter, that requires regular calibration, but if you monitor what it really says, you ought to have no issues maintaining on precisely what your location is above or below sea level.

Next is yet another generally under-used tool, a digital barometer. Guaranteed it may look scary initially, but invest a couple of minutes looking at the handbook, and you should have it down pretty quickly. I probably would not say you could potentially bet your life on the precision of the barometer, however it is a good deal closer to forecasting the true conditions than any meteorologist I have ever stumbled upon. I'd personally say it has been around 80% accurate When was the last time you could point out that about the local weatherman?

Additionally, the barometer features a built-in thermometer. Now again, for a absolutely correct temperature reading you need to take the watch off your wrist for approximately 15 minutes first, and as far as I am aware, all timepieces which feature this functionality have to be carried out exactly the same, therefore bear that in mind before you look at your watch and announce it is ninety degrees when it is more probably seventy five.

Finally the last effective gizmo crammed into this watch is a extremely precise digital compass. After calibrated this compass offers you superb guidance, particularly for the enthusiastic hikers out there who depend on map reading in new terrain.

I nearly forgot, it can tell the time! It comes with an alarm and also a stop watch. Yet another thing, the various colors you will find the Vector make it as much an accessory for your hiking outfit as an invaluable device required for a safe travel.
